Yoga encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity. There are no awards, no judgments, or competition; it is an environment that fosters cooperation and compassion. The goal is to be present, and enjoy the experience.
A lotus flower starts life as a seed pod at the bottom of a murky and muddy pond. Through strength and perseverance the green sprout grows into a bendable yet unbreakable reed. The flower painstakingly grows through the water drawn toward the sun. Once the stock reaches the waters surface a bloom is formed. A flower of remarkable beauty sits majestically on top of the water. The fragrant flower can be seen only in the day for at night it retires under the water to await the arrival of day break.
Elle Banks has been practicing yoga and Pilates for over 10-years. Her inspiration to teach came while practicing asanas at home in front of her then 18-month old daughter. Much to her surprise there was a little yogi mirroring her every move. In 2009 Elle earned her certification to teach children in the YogaKids methodology (a Yoga Alliance recognized certification program). She completed advanced YogaKids International training to earn the highest level of achievement.
She is qualified to teach children as well as train adults.
Elle's classes are fun and challenging for students of all ages.
